Have a question about Downtown OKC?  Need directions?  The men and women in the gold hats are here to serve you!  The OKC Ambassadors are hired, trained and employed by the Oklahoma City Police Department.  You might see them cruising the streets on a Segway human transport device or just strolling by. They serve ready to give directions, answer questions, provide assistance, or to escort visitors to their destination.  The patrol provides additional eyes and ears on the street for the OKC Police Depart. They also serve as a helpful information resource for Downtown OKC tourists, conventioneers, workers and residents. The OKC Ambassadors help make Downtown such a safe and friendly place to visit. The OKC Ambassadors are armed with latest technology U.S. Cellular phones and phone service.  The phones, which feature the newest in press-to-talk technology, enable OKC Ambassadors to maintain one-touch, instant communication with individuals or an entire force.  They also are used by the OKC Ambassadors to help call for information and reservations. The phones are downloaded with all contacts for downtown services and attractions that a visitor might need to obtain from an Ambassador
