Downtown Employee Appreciation Week
If you work in downtown OKC, we want to thank you for all you do. That's why we're planning Downtown Employee Appreciation Week March 4-8. It's a full week of free events, activities and giveaways...and it's all designed to celebrate downtown OKC’s workforce. The full schedule is listed below, but you can also download this printable schedule to keep at your desk or share with a coworker! Monday, March 4 - Trivia Day
Test your downtown knowledge in this week's first activity... trivia! Take the Downtown Trivia Survey for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to one of the following downtown retailers: OKC Museum of Art Gift Store, BC Clark, Red PrimeSteak or Plenty Mercantile.
The results are in! First of all... thanks for participating in Downtown Employee Appreciation Week’s Trivia Day! No one got a perfect score (yeah, the questions were pretty difficult), so we awarded a gift card to everyone who got 17 questions correct – that’s 8 winners in all. Congrats, everyone! Tuesday, March 5 - Grab 'n' Go Breakfast
Start your day off right with free breakfast between 7am and 9am. Bring your current downtown pay stub, ID badge or business card to claim your grab ‘n go breakfast at Kitchen No. 324, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop or Kamps 1910! Aravalli, the eatery inside Devon Energy Center, will also be giving away free small cups of coffee during this time. (While supplies last.)
Here's what each location is serving up:
- Kitchen No. 324 – Morning Pastry + yogurt/fruit cup + house coffee
- Fuzzy’s – 2 breakfast tacos (chorizo, bacon, or potato with egg and cheese) and a drink
- Kamps 1910 – egg/cheese or bacon/egg/cheese burrito and a coffee
- Aravalli – free 12 oz. small cup of coffee
Wednesday, March 6 - Outdoor Game Day & Food Truck Lunch
Head down to the Downtown Basketball Court (at the corner of Hudson and Reno) between 11am and 1pm for a basketball shootout, cornhole games, outdoor ping pong tables and prize giveaways. Want to know the best part?! Each downtown employee who attends will receive a $5 gift certificate to use at the food truck of their choice, including: Big Truck Tacos, Pops, Smokin' Okies, Roxy’s Ice Cream Social and more.
Thursday, March 7 - Concert at Bicentennial Park
Join us at Bicentennial Park (at Walker and Couch Dr.) from 11am – 1pm for a free concert featuring “Avenue.” Everyone's encouraged to rock out as they play some of your favorite tunes. Plus, we'll serve up free pizza from Joey’s Pizzeria and bottled water provided by SONIC, America’s Drive-In.
Friday, March 8 - Downtown Employee Appreciation Party
From 11am – 1pm, in the lobby of Leadership Square, we're hosting a huge party that features a live DJ, free photo booth, prize giveaways, and free snacks, including guacamole, queso, salsa! NEW THIS YEAR – Inflatable activities, including a mechanical bull and bungee run. You won’t want to miss this year’s party cause it's better than ever.
